 Working in the Distribution Warehouse Building:

Volunteer Tasks Include:

• Organizing and packaging donated food items.
• Loading food into neighbors' vehicles.
• Restocking pantry shelves.
• Sorting and bagging produce.
• Adhering to strict sanitation and food safety protocols.
• Assisting with data input tasks. (if you are able)

Please note: Work is both inside an air conditioned space and outdoors as food is walked out to vehicles.  Volunteer tasks are predetermined by staff and are selected on an “as needed” basis.

Volunteers for Groceries2Go play a vital role in our emergency food relief efforts. They provide support to neighbors through scheduled appointments, distributing emergency meal boxes and a variety of fresh produce, dry goods, and dairy items directly to their vehicles.

Age Requirement

Individuals 15 years or older can volunteer alongside adult age 21+. Youth Volunteers (age 15-17yrs): Please view our updated Youth Policy effective October 1, 2025.

Shifts

Monday - Friday (7:30am-10:30am and 10:30am-1:30pm)

CCFB Customer Service Policy

• Provide excellent customer service to all CCFB customers including CCFB clients, staff, donors, logistics personnel, agency personnel, volunteers, board members, and the general public.
• Engage in the following tasks or behaviors that represent excellent customer service: timely responses, punctuality and attendance, treating others with respect, distributing quality product, being knowledgeable and providing accurate information, and using appropriate non‐verbal and verbal communication
• Represent and advocate for CCFB in the community

Dress Code

Due to safety concerns, all volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops). Please dress comfortably and respectfully as the temperature in our warehouse varies based on the season.

NO SHOW POLICY

Volunteers with more than 2 "no shows" within a one-month timeframe will be unregistered for all future events without notice. This will allow individuals on the waitlist and new participants to join us and ensure we can complete our planned projects
